I chose to pursue a degree in Computer Science because I enjoy building and creating things using technology. I find it rewarding to solve problems using logic and creativity, and I like seeing my ideas come to life through code. The field of computer science also offers many opportunities for continuous learning and growth, which motivates me to keep improving my skills.
Introduction
My name is Kevin Dacanay, and I’m currently a senior at Lewis University majoring in Computer Science, with a minor in Cybersecurity and a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. I am Filipino and I immigrated to the U.S. with my mom and brother in Decemeber of 2017. My family is very supportive and they always encourag me to follow my interests in technology and problem-solving, which is why I am majoring in Computer Science. I have always been interested in how computers work, especially how software can be used to build useful and creative solutions. As a student, I enjoy learning both the concepts behind technology and the hands-on skills that help prepare me for a future career in the tech field.

- I can solve a Rubik’s Cube.
- I have memorized entire scripts for some of my favorite movies and I can recite them while the movie is playing on mute.
